Pilates aims to strengthen the body in an even way, with particular emphasis on core strength to improve general fitness and well-being. It requires a level of concentration and control and the class will focus on building strength and stamina as well as improving flexibility, co-ordination and balance.
Liz Davis of Whole Health is a qualified personal trainer, Pilates instructor and nutrition and lifestyle coach runs the weekly Pilates class at 3 Cedarwood on the Park. The class is designed for all ages, all abilities and for both men and women.
The class lasts 50 minutes and mats can be borrowed but it is advisable to bring your own if you plan to attend regularly. It costs £10 for a drop-in class or £8 when paid for in blocks of six.
